Bollington Insurance is pleased to announce the arrival of Jim Knight, who has taken up a post as Motor Trade Account Manager.
Knight, 47, has worked in insurance roles since 1986, moving through Account Executive and Account Manager positions at Marsh and Giles along the way. He will look to bring his considerable experience – and understanding of the customer base – to his new role at Bollington.
Based in Luton, Bedfordshire, Knight will help Bollington to increase its motor trade insurance market share in the South East of England.
With a family background in the motor trade (his father owned a vehicle body shop and held a recovery operator licence), Knight naturally has an affinity with the sector, and has a thorough understanding of the insurance requirements of the different businesses in the trade including operations as diverse as garages, MOT stations, dealerships, repair centres and recovery operators.
Pauline Brookes, Commercial Development Manager, oversees the motor trade account management team at Bollington. Commenting on Knight’s arrival, she said, “Jim is a great acquisition for the team and a good fit for the business. He has a strong focus on customer relations and developing long-term relationships, which will not only help us to acquire more business but also ensure a stream of repeat business, too.
“I am confident that Jim will serve Bollington well, and further enhance the overall service proposition of our motor trade team.”
